Our season continues with a tour of the Philips Lighting Distribution Centre located
in Markham. The DC is 130,000 square feet in size and distributes lighting products
to all its customers across Canada. The facility has a 28 foot clear ceiling and
utilizes a VNA racking system for product storage. This three shift operation is
run by a customized warehouse management system with the use of bar code and RF
scanning technology.
Our host for the evening is Mr. Mike Swan, Warehouse Manager. The facility is
located at 281 Hillmount Road. Please note that space is limited for this tour,
so please register early to ensure your attendance for this event.
