The LCBO GTA Licensee Centre, which opened in 2002, facilitates the receipt, storage, order selection and shipping of wine, spirits and imported beer for the GTA bars, and restaurants in this new facility, located in Mississauga.

The Licensee Centre utilizes a unique material handling process by Siemens Dematic, which consists of a PC-based conveyor system, full and split-case order selection modules and a conveyored handling system with automatic sortation. It is a unique integration of technology - order fulfillment, finances, WMS and conveyors.

    1 Counter-balance fork
    1 Dock stacker

  • Systems:
  • A single two-tiered software system spans - order taking, batching, picking, invoicing, receiving, returns, and finance. Additional programs make possible real time tracking of performance, inventory, order fulfillment and errors. Entire system, excepting invoices, is paperless.
