The focus of the tour will be on the A-Frame Automated Picking System which holds
over 1,000 of K&F's pharmaceutical products. These 1,000 products represent
approximately 20% of K&F's pharmaceutical SKU's and account for 74% of their total
volume. The A-Frame is capable of picking 1,200 orders per hour or up to 54,000
picks per hour.
Also implemented by K&F in the past 4 years, were a new WMS and the use of RF
technology. The revised lay-out, use of RF technology and the new WMS has allowed
K&F to increase their picking volume up to 300%.
