Our season continues with a tour of the Hudson's Bay Company's Toronto Distribution
Centre, located in Rexdale. The DC is 332,000 square feet in size with a mezzanine,
and distributes orders to approximately 150 Home Outfitters and The Bay retail stores
across Canada. The facility uses barcode technology and a high bay racking system
for product storage. An extensive sorter and conveyor system is used in the shipping
process.
Our host for the evening is Mr. Larry Phillips, Building Manager. The facility
is located at 145 Carrier Drive. Rexdale
